Function
As a Young Graduate Engineer (Infrastructure & Maintenance), you will have various roles in Elia: you will not only build and maintain essential infrastructure but also ensure that our systems work smoothly. Get ready to become the creative brain that will help shape the electricity market of the future.
Where will it take you?
Project Leader or Project Engineer
As Project Leader or Project Engineer, you will be responsible for electricity infrastructure projects. This includes the construction, expansion and replacement of high-voltage substations. You will work autonomously and in groups to develop and implement projects, always with an eye on safety first. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage the project planning and budget, and participate in tenders and procurement processes. You will also coordinate the execution of work in cooperation with colleagues, suppliers and contractors. You will strive for technical and safety improvements and contribute to the growth of the Infrastructure department and Elia through active participation in transversal working groups.
Junior Asset Manager
As Junior Asset Manager, you will be working in the field. You will ensure that the infrastructures that have been built keep running smoothly. Initially, you will work alongside an experienced Asset Manager, who will guide you in your daily work, allowing you to learn primarily on the job. You will join maintenance teams, take part in activities with stakeholders and follow technical training courses at home and abroad. The goal is for you to develop yourself into a fully-fledged Asset Manager.
Regional Grid Developer
As Regional Grid Developer, you are responsible for mapping out all the needs and requirements of the regional transmission system. Together with the Power System Planning team, you compare and analyse various grid developments and draw up an operating plan for the grid’s evolution in the short, medium and long term. After approval, you will translate this vision into concrete projects.
You will be responsible for the technical and budgetary aspects and work together with various departments within Elia. You will develop technical and economic expertise on grid development and play a central role in energy transition.
