Sales Engineer

Ter uitbreiding van ons Sales team zijn wij op zoek naar een Sales Engineer.
Je bent onder meer verantwoordelijk voor volgende zaken:
- Je werkt offertes op maat uit voor de automatiseringsprojecten die op til staan bij onze klanten. Deze offertes omvatten onze diensten (gaande van E&I, PLC/SCADA tot MES/IT) en/of materiaal. Je werkt hiervoor nauw samen met de Business Area Sales Manager.
- Indien nodig neem je deel aan vergaderingen met de klant waarin zij hun behoeftes en verwachtingen verduidelijken. Tijdens deze meetings neem je de rol van technisch specialist op en luister je naar de vragen en ideëen.
- Je kan lastenboeken lezen en interpreteren.
- Je contacteert klanten in de offertefase wanneer er nog onduidelijke specificaties zijn.
- Je hebt contact met mogelijke leveranciers in verband met prijzen en technische specificaties.
- Voor detailvragen buiten (en binnen) je eigen specialisatie kan je terugvallen op de projectingenieurs van de verschillende departementen.
- Je stelt je offerte voor als een sluitend verhaal op de vraag van de klant en je verdedigt de gemaakte keuzes op basis van gefundeerde argumenten.
Projects from A-Z, this is how we do it!
At Contec we realize projects from A to Z. As an Automation Engineer you are not only responsible for the technical aspect: communication with the customer and the start-up of a wide range of projects are also part of your duties.
- You work out a functional analysis (FDS) in which you analyze the client’s assignment (URD) and find the most optimal solution for this.
- Then you get to work with the PLC programming and visualization (HMI interfaces). For this you use the customer’s standard or our own Contec Software Standard.
- You also ensure the connection and data exchange of the PLCs with parent systems. This in collaboration with the MOM / MES department.
- After preparation and internal tests at the office, we simulate everything together with the customer during a FAT. They are invited to our offices for this, but it can just as easily be done via remote sessions.
- Then you go on site at the customer to test your work in reality (SAT) and fine-tune it.
- A DDS, drawing up manuals and training for operators and technicians are also part of the job description.
- If the customer wishes, we also provide aftercare for the services we provided them.
You always do all this in close collaboration with your project coordinator and your team.

- You recently graduated in Engineering (preferably in Electromechanics) or you are equivalent through experience
- You are an initiator and autonomous working does not deter you.

- By preference, you have knowledge of the following technologies:
- Rockwell; RSLogix, FTview, …
- Siemens; Step7, TIA Portal, WinCC, PCS7, …
- Schneider; Ecostruxure Control Expert, Vijeo Designer, …
- Networks; ProfiNet, Ethernet-IP, Profibus, DeviceNet, ControlNet, …
